According to a recent study by Michele Wong and her colleagues at Johns Hopkins, Harvard, and the University of Washington, a fathers increased involvement with their children reduced childhood obesity between ages two and four.

Some of the reasons are linked to more playtime and other physical activities, even lthough fathers are seen to cave to their childrens demands in relation to a relaxed screen time and dietary consumption plan.

Overall, a dad's caregiving through every facet from bathing to dressing their children was seen as a benefit for reducing risk of early childhood obesity.

Both parents, mother and father, are important in setting their keiki on the right path to health in the first 1,000 days (conception to age 2) because that is seen as the critical period for the development for childhood obesity.
